We do not collect any personal data without your consent.
Initiating the application process constitutes consent for
us to use the information as described in this policy.
We may use aggregate information about our users for statistical,
marketing and other purposes. This information does not reveal
the identity of, or any information about, particular users
or companies.
This policy is about information that relates to particular
people or companies.
Securing Information to Provide Electronic Funds Transfer
software
If you choose to apply for Electronic Funds Transfer software
or a processing account through American EFT's website, you
will be asked for basic information about yourself and your
company. We then compare that information, plus credit bureau
information about you, against our various financing criteria.
The decision to provide personal information is entirely yours
to make.
We also provide Email updates to you regarding new products
and other financial solutions for your business. However,
you can opt out of this service at any time. For more information,
see the Collection and Use of Customer Information section
of this policy.
The American EFT's Privacy Principles
We strongly advocate the protection of our customers' privacy
and are committed to ensuring that your personal and company
information is safeguarded. We have adopted the following
privacy principles in the belief that they effectively capture
our commitment to you.
• We recognize and respect our customers'
expectation of privacy.
• We collect and use only the information
needed for legitimate business purposes.
• We employ security measures that
guard access to and disclosure of information.
• We will not disclose personally
identifiable information to third parties unless there is
an appropriate legal or
business justification.
• If we contract with a company to
perform specific services that require us to provide them
access to customer information,
we require that company to maintain the confidentiality of
customer information.
• We will continuously assess our
business practices to ensure that customer privacy is respected.
As part of our commitment to protecting your privacy, we are
always working to ensure that our procedures and systems are
relevant and supply the appropriate safeguards - and we will
regularly conduct audits of our systems and Privacy Policies
to ensure compliance.
Information Practices
1. Recognition of Customer's Expectation of Privacy
We recognize and respect the privacy expectations
of our customers - and are committed to taking
the steps necessary to safeguard the information entrusted
to us. Procedures are in place that are
designed to prevent misuse of private information.
2. Collection and Use of Customer Information
We collect, retain, and use information
about you only where we reasonably believe that it will help
to complete the application process, to provide individually
tailored services, and to provide other
opportunities to you. We use information to administer business
transactions, to provide you with status
updates, to comply with laws and regulations, to help us design
or improve our services, and to understand
your needs so that we can provide you with superior service.
We do not collect any personal data without
your consent, and we only share the personally identifiable
financial information you provide us with our ACH processor.
Information collection starts at the point
of the application process. By initiating the application
process, you consent to our collection and
use of this information.
After your application is processed, we
will periodically send you e-mail updates about finalizing
the ACH for the PC ©
software licensing, normal business correspondence and new
product and service updates. We may also
request your participation in a customer satisfaction survey.
Our customers generally find this very helpful.
You can choose not to receive additional Email's by
choosing to opt-out, using the question posed at the beginning
of the application process. If you choose
to receive updates, but change your mind at a later date,
you can opt out at any time by sending e-mail
with your company name, address and e-mail address to salesmanager@americaneft.com.
If you access our services through one of
our business partners' web sites, we may share contact
information such as your name and e-mail address with that
business partner. In that case, please check
the partner's privacy policy to see how they may use your
contact information.
To ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and
thoroughness of information, we use only reputable sources
of data to cross-reference against application information.
Information that you submit during the application
process is not subject to modification.
3. Limiting Employee Access of Information
To protect the confidentiality and privacy
of credit information about individuals and small businesses,
we limit employee access to your files. We are committed to
ensuring that individuals with access to
consumer information do not utilize the data for unauthorized
purposes. To ensure that each employee understands
their responsibility, employees sign a written
confidentiality agreement before they are granted access to
your data. We are also committed to taking
strong enforcement actions if necessary.
4. Protection of Information
We maintain security procedures to help
prevent unauthorized access to confidential information.
We update and test our technology to assure the integrity
of our systems - and to improve upon our
existing privacy safeguards wherever possible.
We back our Privacy Principles with some
of the best security technology available. We use SSL
(Secure Socket Layer) Technology to ensure that your application
information cannot be accessed during transmission
to our servers. We also use SSL authentication technology
to confirm the identity of both the computer
sending and the computer receiving your application information.
This safeguard keeps unauthorized people and companies from
accessing your information. We also use
technical security measures to prevent unauthorized access
to data stored on our secure servers.
5. Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information
State and federal agencies require us to
provide certain information regarding the number of financing
applications submitted to us. This information, when disclosed,
is in aggregate form and does not contain
any of your personally identifiable information. State and
federal examiners may periodically audit
consumer files. These audits ensure that we are complying
with the regulations in place to protect
consumers.
6. Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships
with Third Parties
Information regarding our customers is used
solely in the legitimate conduct of business to deliver
products and services, to design products, and to provide
special offers designed to meet the specific
needs of our customers.
You have the option of getting updates from
us about our new financial products and services that
may meet your business needs.
We will not reveal personally identifiable
information to any third party unless we have been authorized
by you, have previously informed you in disclosures or agreements
that we plan to do so, or are required by
law to do so.
If you have any questions about our privacy practices or about
our application process, please e-mail us at salesmanager@americaneft.com
or phone us toll free at (866) AMER-EFT, Monday - Friday,
